Drawball.comDrawball.com is a huge circular canvas on which anyone can draw or collaborate with other users. If your work is good enough, it can be protected by the administrator. You can also be rewarded with infinite ink and have your work exhibited in the Drawball's Hall of Fame. Lets go over the basics of using the site. When you first go to drawball, you will see the entire ball. In the bottom left corner, you will see the "Zoom Out" button. Under that button a loading bar appears when drawball is loading something. In the bottom right corner, you will see the tools and ink bottle. They are barely noticeable and will light up when you zoom in all the way. At the top left, you will see the browse history buttons. These allow you to see what has happened on the ball before. They are very useful for finding a spot to draw. At the panel on right, you will see the Hall of Fame and Drawball playback links. These will open the Hall of fame, which shows the best works on the ball, and the Drawball Playback, which shows the first year or drawball.Last but not the least, at bottom left of your screen you will see this text "link http://www.drawball.com/######" this is the address of the spot you are viewing on Drawball. Its useful if you want others to view your art or if want to return to same spot on Drawball again.
Zooming, Ink, and the PuzzleTo zoom in, simply click anywhere on the ball. There are four zoom levels.
You will see your tools and ink bottle. Use these to select a brush size and color. The ink bottle shows how much ink you have left. You will start at 5%. It recharges over time. Slowly at first, but goes faster (up to 50% a day) the longer you are on Drawball. The puzzle will appear when you click on the ball at 100% zoom. Solve it like this, go ahead and learn it. You're going to be doing this a lot.
Looking for a spotWhen looking for a place to draw, remember these two things: Don't cover someone else's work, and don't draw in an active area. If you see a spot that has a vandalized drawing in it. Use the browse history buttons to see if the vandalism is recent. If you click the button twenty or so times and there seem to be no attempts by the original artist to fix it. The piece is most likely abandoned, and it is probably safe to draw there. The best thing to do is just find a spot of nothing but scribble to draw on. Just make sure its not in an active area. The large logos you see are obviously active areas, as is the area surrounding them. Its best not to draw there, many vandals flock to the logos to scribble on them, and they sure wont mind scribbling on your work too. When you find a good spot, use the history buttons to see if anything has happened recently.
Logos and FlagsLogos, they're those big things that advertise websites. As said earlier, don't draw right next to them or on them. Here's a list of some of the groups that have made themselves known on the ball---- BBV4L 12 OZ Prophet Link Xenu.Net Link [H] Link [FJ] Link Pics or Shens Link Ebaum's World Binary Revolution PBNation Total Spore Link Kdice Link
NOTE: Some of these sites might not have a logo on the ball at this time. feel free to add more Flags, thats all they really are. Just treat them like a logo.
